Plasters for high thermal insulating masonry

Before selecting an exterior plaster, verify the thermal insulation properties of your masonry. In the technical documentation of the masonry, find the λ - the thermal conductivity coefficient.

Recommended plastering system
for masonry with 0.13 ≤ λ ≤ 0.35 W/(m.K)

1. Preparation of the substrate
Baumit Prednástrek (pre-spray), in the case of machine application onto new clean brickwork, the preparation of the substrate is not required.

2. Exterior plaster
Baumit MPA 35 L, machine lightweight lime-cement plaster

3. Reinforcing layer
Variant 1
Baumit ProContact + StarTex, an embedded glass mesh is used to apply an adhesive mortar onto cured plaster.
Variant 2
Baumit Reinforcement plaster, a plaster mesh is used to fully cover the freshly laid plaster.

4. Penetration coating
Baumit PremiumPrimer or UniPrimer

5. Facade plaster
Baumit NanoporTop, StarTop, SilikonTop or other Baumit facade plaster, Baumit Pre-spray 2 mm / Vorspritzer 2 mm

Recommended plastering system
for masonry with λ < 0.13 W/(m.K)

1. Preparation of the substrate
Baumit Pre-spray,
manual or machine application

2. Exterior plaster
Baumit Thermo Plaster Extra, manual or machine processing,
or Baumit Thermo Plaster, manual processing

3. Reinforcing layer
Baumit ProContact + StarTex, an embedded glass mesh is used to apply an adhesive mortar onto cured plaster

4. Penetration coating
