Lay paving without sealing off the area using the Baumit drain system

  • Reduced susceptibility to moss and algae growth
  • No lime efflorescence due to the use of trass
  • Fewer sewage charges for partially sealed areas

The water-permeable Baumit drain system

The water-permeable Baumit drain system for paving and natural stone gives you the opportunity to make previously sealed areas, or those about to be laid, permanently water-permeable. The high level of water-permeability of paving drain grout is down to the specific grain structure of the grout. You can create permanently water-permeable surfaces with Baumit paving grout adhesive (PVM).

  1. Plastering with Baumit paving grout Rapid for  grout width 8 to 30 mm, grout depth 30 to 40 mm
  2. Baumit paving grout adhesive (PVM) bedding
Bedding height approx. 4 to 6 cm
  3. Water-permeable base layer from gravel or drainage concrete approx. 20 cm for low static loads, grain size of 5/45 mm
  4. 4. Anti-freeze gravel 30 cm

Advantages

The fast and controlled drainage of water has the following advantages:

  • No more frost damage
  • Reduced susceptibility for moss and algae growth
  • No lime efflorescence due to the use of trass
  • Fewer sewage charges for partially sealed areas
