Due to its construction, it had an average heat storage capacity with low protection against overheating in summer. The fluctuations in the wall surface temperatures were higher than in houses with a high building mass but lower than in the timber frame construction. The moisture buffering ability was very good, which is attributable to the use of open wooden surfaces.
